COTTAGE UNDER THE HILL #7749

Welcome to Píla in the Little Carpathians, where we speak our own dialect (there’s a translation below in case you don’t understand).
We offer lodging at our Chata pod Hrabom.
It’s a garden cottage with a loft accessible by a ladder that sleeps two, and downstairs there’s a couch that sleeps two more. Of course, you’ll get bedding and a towel. You can see everything in the photos.
The kitchen is equipped with a two-burner stove, an electric kettle, a refrigerator, and a microwave. Outside, a short distance away—but still far enough from the cabin—is an outhouse as well as an outdoor shower with hot water. In front of the cabin is a covered seating area with a view of Píla and Červák. Above the cabin is a fire pit for roasting food and a table with two benches.
We make some wine, so if you’d like, we can arrange a tasting in the cellar, and we occasionally brew some beer at home as well.
One thing to keep in mind is that it’s about a five-minute walk from the parking lot to the cabin—up a slight incline through the mountains along a trail.
By the way, Červený Kamen Castle is right across from us, and above the cabin is Kukla Hill, where the castle was originally supposed to be built. You can go mushroom hunting here, or take a longer hike through the mountains to Veľká Homola, Vysoká, into the game reserve (there aren’t any hiking trails there, so fewer people go), to Geltek or Vápené, and so on.

The area around the cabin is ideal for nature lovers. Directly above the cottage, a hiking trail leads to Kukla Peak, from where you can continue on to Vysoká or Veľká Homoľa. The popular Červený Kameň Castle is also just a few minutes from the cottage.
Above Píla lies a vast game reserve, which is open to the public. You won’t find any hiking trails here, allowing you to enjoy peaceful walks through nature away from the main tourist routes. The surrounding forests are also an excellent spot for mushroom hunting.
Important information: The cabin is not accessible by car. From the parking area, it’s about a 5-minute walk along a forest path, slightly uphill. This short walk is a small price to pay for the peace, privacy, and atmosphere this place offers.
